Dr. Peter Cornick
Dr. Peter Cornick has dedicated his career to advancing periodontal and implant dentistry while honoring the practice his father, Dr. Martin Cornick, founded in 1966. After earning his dental degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, he pursued specialized periodontal training at Fairleigh Dickinson University College of Dental Medicine, followed by a two-year fellowship in surgical and advanced implant dentistry at NYU College of Dentistry.
Dr. Cornick went on to spend 20 years as a clinical assistant professor at NYU, mentoring the next generation of dental professionals while continuing to grow his own expertise. That commitment to teaching and lifelong learning still shapes how he practices today — staying current with the latest advances in 3-D imaging, diagnostics, and computer-guided surgery so his patients benefit from the most precise, minimally invasive care available.
Outside the clinical side of his work, Dr. Cornick is known by patients and colleagues alike for his gentle chairside manner and genuine compassion, especially with those who feel anxious about periodontal treatment. He is a repeat recipient of the New Jersey Monthly Top Dentist recognition and is active in several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Periodontology, the Academy of Osseointegration, and the Somerset Study Club, which he founded and formerly directed.
For Dr. Cornick, stepping into his father's practice was never just about continuing a business — it was about carrying forward a standard of care built on trust and personal connection. "I am honored to have the privilege of continuing the legacy established by my father in 1966," he says, and that sense of legacy still guides how he treats every patient who walks through the door.

Pat
Pat has enjoyed a rewarding career in dentistry for more than 46 years. She is passionate about helping others and continues to find fulfillment in her profession. Pat has been married for many years and is the proud mother of three adult daughters, who have blessed her and her husband with two wonderful grandchildren.
When she's not at work, Pat enjoys spending quality time with her family, working in her garden, and expressing her creativity through watercolor painting.
Lisa
With more than 42 years of experience as a dental hygienist, Lisa is passionate about helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles while making every visit as comfortable and positive as possible.
Her decades of experience, gentle approach, and dedication to patient care have made her a trusted member of the dental team and a favorite among generations of patients.
Outside the office, Lisa has been happily married for many years and is the proud mother of two adult daughters and a wonderful son-in-law. When she's not caring for patients, she loves entertaining family and friends, and you can often find her in the kitchen baking delicious cookies and cakes to share with those she loves.
Maribel
Maribel is a valued member of our team for the past 29 years. She began her career with our practice as Dr. Cornick's dental assistant, a role she held for 16 years. During that time, she assisted with every aspect of patient care, from preparing patients for dental procedures to providing post-treatment instructions. She is also a licensed dental X-ray technician.
About 13 years ago, Maribel transitioned to our front office when the practice needed additional administrative support.
Outside of the office, Maribel has been happily married for over 30 years and is the proud mother of three children. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, spending time with her family, relaxing at the beach, and reading.
Marisol
Marisol has been at the practice for nearly 25 years, starting as a dental assistant with Dr. Martin Cornick and later supporting Dr. Peter Cornick. She excels in a variety of roles, from assisting in procedures to coordinating patient care and office operations.
Beyond her professional expertise, she is also a devoted mother, grandmother, and wife. Her caring and loving nature, both at home and in the office, allow her to connect with patients on a personal level, creating a warm, supportive environment that makes everyone feel like family.
Liz
Liz has been the face at our front desk since April 2002. Over the years, she has had the pleasure of working alongside Dr. Martin and Peter Cornick, building lasting relationships with both patients and colleagues.
As our insurance specialist, Liz is your go-to person for navigating insurance questions and helping make the process as smooth as possible.
Outside the office, Liz is the proud mother of four and grandmother to three wonderful grandchildren. When she's not at work, she enjoys traveling to new destinations and spending quality time with her large Italian family.
Caroline
Caroline is a receptionist and the newest member of the Cornick Periodontics family, bringing a youthful charm to the office's friendly and relaxing atmosphere. She loves to build lasting relationships with patients and help them receive the best care possible. In her free time, she enjoys painting, trying new restaurants, and going on birdwatching walks with her boyfriend.
